After what many called a miraculous win against Team Canada, Team USA has continued its Cinderella story performance in the 2010 Winter Olympics. With today's big victory, Team USA improves their Winter games record to 5-0, and now heads into the gold medal game on Sunday. They will face either Slovakia or Team Canada, the team they upset about a week ago to start this momentum. The last time the US captured gold was back in 1980. That event is now known as the famous "Miracle on Ice" which took place in Lake Placid, New York. However, Canada defeated Team USA in 2002 for the gold medal when the games took place in Utah.
While the United States is guaranteed at least a silver medal, Finland will play for the bronze, facing the loser of Canada vs. Slovakia on Saturday.
