Meet the Jersey girl next door who's getting married to Kevin Jonas

The girl-next-door just got engaged to Kevin Jonas, 21, the oldest member of the music-making trio, the Jonas Brothers. We know about other gal pals the boys have had, like Miley Cyrus and Camilla Belle, but who exactly is Deleasa?

While there isn’t much public information available, many reports claim Deleasa (say: “Duh-LEE-sa”) was born on Sept. 27, is an only child, hails from Denville, New Jersey, and is described as a "former hairdresser."

Several other websites incorrectly claim that Jonas and Deleasa grew up next door to one another in Wyckoff, New Jersey, as childhood friends. However, the couple actually met about two years ago in 2007 while both of their families were on vacation in the Bahamas, reports People.

Deleasa, 22, later said of their initial encounter, “I didn’t know who the Jonas Brothers were.” Apparently it was Jonas who eagerly pursued the Jersey girl after spotting her walking down the beach with a flower in her hair.

Despite her superstar boyfriend, Deleasa has seldom been seen on the red carpet with Jonas, especially after the Jonas Brothers hit mega-stardom last sumer. The first photos of her with her beau surfaced in October 2008, when the two were spotted smooching and snapping photos of each other during a stroll through Point Mugu, California.

The couple was spotted again earlier this year in March kissing in the front seat of Jonas’ SUV while driving around Beverly Hills. The duo shopped for engagement rings in some of the neighborhood’s most expensive jewelry stores, reported JustJared.com at the time.

Jonas surprised his bride-to-be by showing up on her New Jersey doorstep early in the morning, after catching a red-eye flight from a Vancouver concert the night before. Jonas proposed on bended knee with a cushion-cut diamond ring he designed himself with Jacob & Co. The newly engaged couple has not yet set a date for the wedding.
