Chile was hit by a 7.2 earthquake aftershock that sent a tsunami warning to nearby affected areas. But after couple of hours, the tsunami warning was lifted. People were moved to a safer place after the tsunami warning. There were four strong aftershocks that occurred in Valparaiso, Chile. The first aftershock measures 7.2 magnitude on the Richter scale, and lasted 45 seconds. Three less fierce quakes followed within 25 minutes. Hours after the Chile earthquake, the Chilean government lifted the tsunami alert. There were no reports of death in Chile’s 7.2 earthquake aftershocks but updates will still be posted as soon as reports are given. The epicenter was in Rancagua City, 150 Kms. south of the capital Santiago. This was the biggest aftershock since the 8.8-magnitude quake on February 27 that killed many lives.
