Oscars 2010: Sandra Bullock Becomes Best Actress Winner
As a lot of you will be aware of, the 82nd Academy Awards (Oscars 2010) took place last night and before the event had even started, there was a lot of hype and speculation as to who was taking home the awards for Best Picture, Best Actor, and Best Actress.
Among the actresses nominated for the much anticipated Best Actress award was Meryl Streep for “Julie & Julia,” Gabourey Sidibe for “Precious,” Carey Mulligan for “An Education,” Helen Mirren for “The Last Station,” and Sandra Bullock for “The Blindside.”

And according to a report at uktodaynews.com, it was Sandra Bullock who took home the Best Actress award, for her performance in “The Blindside” movie
. Winning the award for Best Actress must have come as a shock to Bullock, as she was convinced she wouldn’t win.
The Best Actress Oscar wasn’t the only award she won over the weekend either. It appears that she also won a Razzie award, for her performance in a movie called “All About Steve.” The Best Picture award ended up going to Kathryn Bigelow’s “The Hurt Locker.”
