Heidi Montag discusses ‘back-scoop surgery’

Heidi Montag says she's now 'weird about hugging people'. (David Becker / Getty Images)
I’m pretty much as sick of the Heidi-Montag-has-had-10-plastic-surgery-procedures as you are — almost as sick as I was of the Heidi-Montag-has-fired-her-husband-as-manager-and-hired-her-psychic-only-to-fire-him-a-week-later story. But then she had to say the words “back scoop surgery”.OK, that just sounds horrific. The Hills’ star described the procedure thus in WENN.com (via The Toronto Sun): “(I) had my back scooped… I actually didn’t know (what that is). I might be the first one to try it. It carves out your back a little bit.”
OK, if you have a surgical procedure, shouldn’t you be informed exactly what it is? And should you be wary of being the first to ever try it?
Now, technically — and not surprisingly — Heidi isn’t correct about what it is. World Correspondents talked with a plastic surgeon, who said “back scoop surgery” is basically liposuction, taking fat from the hip up to the shoulders.Tragically, Heidi seems to be feeling the effects on 10 plastic surgeries, telling Ryan Seacrest she’s “weird about hugging people now,” according to The Buzz at ajc.com.I gather “back scoop surgery” would do that to a person.
