Glee Season 2 Episode 1-The season premiere of this year’s “Glee” has been eagerly awaited by many fans since the first season of the popular breakout show went off the air several months ago. The show had big plans for the second season, and kick off a new season in a huge way. The first episode of the new season had a number of huge performances including Rachel singing “What I Did For Love” from a Chorus Line ,Principal Figgins (Iqbal Theba) performing “Empire State of Mind” by Jay-Z and Alicia Keys,with Rachel (Lea Michele) teaming up with Sunshine Corazon (Charice Pempengco) for a duet on “Telephone”,several new dramatic rivalries, and a number of priceless jokes from Sue Sylvester.

The episode which dealt with the aftermath of the Glee Club’s embarrassing third-place finish at Regionals, had a lot of comedic elements to it, but the show’s producers have said that they would like to keep the focus of the show on the performances. They are the baseline for “Glee,” and straying too far into the comedic elements of the program could turn a lot of fans off from the series.

There were a number of new characters that came on board this season in hopes of beefing up the team and beat the Vocal Adrenaline. One new character is the new female coach of the football team called Coach Beiste, who will be played by Dot Jones. She gets off to a bad start with several members of the cast, but eventually finds her niche in the cast.
Another new character is the cute football player with a Justin Bieber haircut named Sam. His character is played by Chord Overstreet.Despite trying very hard to recruit new talents Vocal Adrenaline’s new coach Dustin Goolsby,was able to take out their megastar-Sunshine.

It was certainly an interesting episode thanks to the international singing sensation and Oprah-fame, Charice, Santana’s new boob job and Coach Beistie who is as wild as they get.
Next week Glee will take on Britney Spears and the popstar will appear in the episode.
