Last night’s NFL Monday Night Football saw San Francisco vs New Orleans and it was the Saints who beat the 49ers with a score of 25-22. We’ve already given you a full article all about the game earlier today in which we noted that one major problem for the Saints was an injury for Reggie Bush and now we have a little more news on that injury.
The damage occurred in the fourth quarter of the game when Bush injured his lower leg immediately causing some amount of pain. Although he initially tried to play on as soon as he tried to run he collapsed to the ground and had to be assisted off the field to take no further part in the game. It now appears that Bush has actually broken a bone in his lower leg according to Cindy Boren on the Washington Post.
The Post quotes ESPN’s Adam Schefter who tweeted that Bush had in fact suffered a fractured fibula and would be having further X-rays back in New Orleans. It seems as though the injury will keep him out of the game for at least 6 weeks and Bush said, “It’s been a pretty tough week. It’s just the way life goes. I’m just trying not to think the worst and just try to stay as positive as I can in this situation. That’s all you can do, hope for the best.”
