Save His Presidency – Obama Terror Attack Quote – With President Obama’s approval rating falling with each new poll, some conspiracy theory websites have wondered aloud if perhaps the President would be willing to forego defending a terror attack so that he could recover in the eyes of the American people. The situation seems ludicrous, but with rumors amuck on the internet that the white house had numerous clues that the World Trade Center would be the target of the September 11th attacks, is it really all that farfetched.

During an interview with journalist Bob Woodward, Obama said that he believed that we could absorb a terrorist attack, but would do everything in his power to stop it from happening.
“We can absorb a terrorist attack. We’ll do everything we can to prevent it, but even a 9/11, even the biggest attack ever . . . we absorbed it and we are stronger,” Obama is quoted as saying in Woodward’s book.

However, remember how quickly President Bush’s approval rating shot up after he responded decidedly to the attacks against the country. The United States hasn’t seen such patriotism in dozens of years previous to the attacks, and everyone seemed to rally behind Bush at the time. Would Obama benefit from a similar situation? Almost undoubtedly, assuming he was able to respond decidedly and rally the citizens under the American banner once again.
