Miss Michigan Rima Fakih was crowned Miss USA tonight at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas. She was definitely up against some stellar competition, but ultimately took home the title.
This year’s Miss USA competition has had some serious publicity this year, mostly over the sexy promo bikini pictures. I guess instead of a scandal over some racy photos, they figured they would put them out there themselves. But back to the subject at hand…
The 2010 Miss USA winner Rima Fakih, is a gorgeous brunette, who was up against four beautiful blondes in the end. First runner-up Miss Oklahoma, Morgan Elizabeth Woolard, second runner-up Miss Virginia Samantha Evelyn Casey, third runner-up was Miss Colorado Jessica Hartman and finally fourth place was Miss Maine Katherine Ashley Whittier.For the question part of the competition, Rima was asked whether she thought birth control should be paid for by health insurance. Her response was yes because it is expensive, and “I believe that birth control is just like every other medication even though it’s a controlled substance.”
As for a biography on Rima Fakih, here is a bit of information. She is a 24 year old Lebanese-American born in New York. She currently resides in Michigan, where she took on the Miss Michigan title on September 19, 2009. Her profile stated that winning the state title was a childhood dream, and she hopes to “positively use her position of influence to advocate community service, charity and educational growth.”
We can only imagine what winning Miss USA 2010 means to her. She si stunning with long dark hair, dark almond shaped eyes, and is a strong woman, She was the first official pageant ambassadors to represent women’s self-defense awareness.
